The Ministry of Natural Resources is currently researching the possibility of remotely generating electricity by adding a second alternator to the water pump engine. This initiative lead me to investigate other generation methods for reliable use in the woodland firefighting environment. My research and testing lead me to the conclusion that in the time frame and scope of this project, the most reliable and logical choice is to use the electrical land lines at the MNR headquarters to supply energy to a mobile device to transport the energy to the field. My development accounts for very small to very large incident circumstances, including those which do not use pumps.
